NHMTA Workers’ Compensation Program to pay $800,000 in dividends

For the second consecutive year, $800,000 in dividends will be paid to participants of the NHMTA Self Insured Group for Workers’ Comp.

For the second consecutive year, $800,000 in dividends will be paid back to participants of the NHMTA Self Insured Group (SIG) for Workers’ Compensation. That decision was made by the Board of Trustees of the NHMTA SIG at a meeting earlier this week.

In the coming weeks, qualifying group participants will soon receive formal communications about their exact dividend figures. The members can choose between receiving a check or applying their dividend as a credit to their account.

This year’s dividend payments will bring the total dividends paid to more than $19.8 million since the SIG was created. The SIG will now have paid dividends in 27 of the last 28 years.

The SIG has also seen significant premium rate decreases. Premium rates have seen a cumulative decline of 45 percent over the last six years.
