NHMTA cuts workers’ comp insurance rates by average of 7.2%
The NHMTA Self-Insurance Group Trust will cut worker's compensation rates by an average of 7.2% for the 2025 policy year.
The New Hampshire Motor Transport Association (NHMTA) Self-Insurance Group Trust will cut rates by an average of 7.2% for the 2025 policy year. This action was determined by the Board of Trustees at a meeting held on November 14, 2024, and was based on the recommendation of our external actuarial firm.
This action on rates by the Board of Trustees marks the seventh consecutive plan year that rates have been cut. The cumulative total of those rate cuts is 52.2% over the seven plan years.
The NHMTA Self-Insurance Group Trust is open to qualified NHMTA members in good standing. The program is administered in-house. We have claims adjusters, a safety director, a nurse case manager, and a director of workers’ compensation and managed care, all working for members out of the NHMTA office. Because of that, members and their employees receive the prompt care and attention they deserve.
