ENTRY LEVEL DRIVER TRAINING ELDT CLASS A & B IN-PERSON TRAINING
Effective February 7, 2022, drivers that are intending to get a new CDL or upgrade their CDL will need to successfully complete ELDT training before they are permitted to take the relevant range knowledge test. The training will cover the requirements under 49 CFR 380 Appendix A & B.
THIS SEMINAR WILL COVER THE FOLLOWING:
- Basic Operation
- Safe Operation Procedure
- Advanced Operating Practices
- Vehicle Systems & Reporting Malfunctions
- Non-Driving Activities (i.e., Hours of Service)
The material will be covered over a three-day period with 16 hours of in-house training. Students MUST attend all three sessions. After the driver has successfully completed all three sessions NHMTA will enter the driver’s information into the Training Provider Registry. The driver can then schedule their CDL skills test.
